That's what I thought when I saw this picture.



But it's history. These are vending machines from 1904 or thereabouts.
These are older.



Apparently vending machines were invented in Ancient Greece.


The first one came from baronjanus who found references to these places in George Chauncey's Gay New York: the Making of the Gay Male World, 1890-1940
